Imaging

Responsibilities:

  • Development of a spatial analysis method of corneal immune cells including immunofluorescence, confocal microscopy, and programming
  • Establishing dynamic microscopic OCT as new imaging method for structures in the eye

 

Image Analysis

Responsibilities:

  • Development of computational methods and processing pipelines dedicated to the project
  • Application of existing and development of new analytical and ML solutions
  • Data visualization and communication
  • Work in close collaboration with our medical collaboration partners
  • Collaboration with our medical informatics partners who will establish data management platform

Requirements:

  • MSc degree in bioinformatics, biology, molecular medicine or comparable
  • With interest and experience in fluorescence microscopy and image analysis
  • Programming skills (python)
  • Experience with deep learning is a plus

  • Good programming skills (python)

The CRC consists of clinician-scientists and basic scientists from ophthalmology, immunology, genetics, oncology, imaging etc. all devoted to ocular (lymph)angiogenesis and immunological research and translation.

Our CRC 1607 (funded initially from 1.4.2024- 31.12.2027) is unique since there is currently no other (inter)national center that primarily focusses on the role of lymphatic/blood vessels and immune cells as the cause of, and new therapeutic target in, age-associated ocular diseases. Our new CRC 1607 is gathered around the perspective that within 12 years, significant progress in disease understanding and translation into clinical care can be achieved.
