» Your tasks

  • Active support of and participation in public funded ongoing research projects
  • Research and development of drugs for the repair of the damaged nervous system
  • Supervision of Bachelor, Master and PhD students
  • Lab management including biosafety (shared responsibility)

» Your Profile

  • A scientist with a PhD in biology, pharmacology, (biomedical) engineering or related fields to intensify our current activities in regeneration of the nervous system


To be successful in this role you will need to have: 

  • PhD in pharmacology, biology or equivalent qualification with proven track record in the field of neuroscience, pharmacology 
  • Fluency in English and German

The Center for Pharmacology at the University Hospital Cologne (Head: Prof. Dr. Dietmar Fischer) is primarily concerned with the development of new strategies for repairing the damaged nervous system after injury or disease. A wide range of techniques and methods are used in this work, such as molecular biology, histology, microscopy, biochemistry, cell culture and surgery.
