» Your tasks

  • Statistical planning of clinical phase I-III studies in collaboration with medical project leaders
  • Statistical monitoring of studies
  • Independent preparation and implementation of pre-defined study-specific analyses (interim, safety and endpoint analyses)
  • Conceptual design and implementation of statistical analyses using pooled clinical data by applying methods of survival analysis and multivariate statistics
  • Preparation of statistical analysis plans and reports
  • Collaborative work on scientific publications and preparation of scientific presentations
  • Independent research and conceptual design in the field of statistical monitoring of clinical data, possibly as part of a PhD thesis
  • Preparation and maintenance of standard operation procedures (SOP)


» Your Profile

  • University degree in statistics, biometrics or mathematics (Master)
  • Interest in clinical research
  • Excellent knowledge of statistical software such as SAS or SPSS is essential
  • Experience in the area of sample size calculation is desirable
  • Professional experience in the area of medical statistics in clinical studies focusing on oncology/hematology would be ideal
  • Strong analytical skills, good communication and team working skills as well as creativity and flexibility
  • Assertiveness and willingness to work meticulously and independently
  • Fluency in English (German optional) and good knowledge of MS Office are required

A large number of different clinical studies (phase I-IV) are active in these areas. The German CLL Study Group is one of the world's leading study groups in the field of chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
